Meet Joshua Mullady, Director and Lighting Designer for Cock
I sat down with Josh Mullady, Director and Lighting Designer for SNAP! Production’s Cock. This show marks Mullady’s debut as a director at SNAP! but as we learned, he’s no stranger to theater in Omaha.
Here are the top five facts we learned
- Since moving to Omaha in August of 2008 I’ve had major part (actor, designer, director) on 65 productions, not including education outreach shows, staged readings, and special events.
- With SNAP! and Shelterbelt I’ve done 19 shows (Cock is 19). 18 of those have happened since coming back to work on Next to Normal in 2013
- I’m on both the SNAP! and Shelterbelt boards. I’ve also served on the TAG board.
- I’m a professional karaoke and wedding Dj doing around 200 shows a year. I’ve been at House of Loom on Tuesday nights and have only missed 5 shows in 4 years.
- I was the first student to graduate from the Theatre Department at the University of Northern Iowa to graduate with my BA in Theatre with all three emphases: Performance, Design and Production, and Drama for Youth.
Joshua has earned rave reviews for his production. Read them here and here. Tickets are on sale now – go to here to purchase yours today! Cock runs through March 27.
