Continuing with it’s 25th Season, SNAP! Productions is delighted to bring to Omaha Bruce Ward’s humorous and touching play The Lazarus Syndrome.
Elliot Liteman, a former concert pianist, has spent most of his adult life as a person living with AIDS. He struggles with the emotional toll of The Lazarus Syndrome, a medical term for the survivor’s guilt suffered by those who live longer than the family and friends closet to them. With a winter storm raging outside, Elliot has planned the perfect quiet evening at home. But his solitude is suddenly interrupted by the noisy and unexpected arrival of his brother and father laden with Manischewitz, homemade matzo ball soup and family baggage. The ensuing confusion is raucous and funny but ultimately paves the way for Elliot’s recommitment to life.
With direction by M. Michele Phillips, The Larazus Syndrome sports a cast that includes Brett D. Foster, Thomas Lowe, Brent Spencer and Matt Allen.
