| SNAP Receives 12 TAG Awards! | Read A Note From Steve Schalchlin | |
| The 33rd Annual Theatre Arts Guild Awards were
held August 13 in Omaha. SNAP! Productions was honored to receive 31
nominations and to lead the winners, garnering 12 Awards. The Board
of Directors wishes to congratulate all the winners and nominees and to
thank the casts, staff and crew of each production this season for their
dedication and artistic contributions. We also thank First Data
Resources, MTS Training, Union Pacific Foundation for their financial
support of The Last Session. We also thank Steve Schlachlin and Jim
Brochu for giving the world such a moving piece and helping to promote
tolerance and diversity through the arts, a major part of our mission.
The Last Session is a theatrical piece that touched many hearts in Omaha.
We also thank Dicky, who was so supportive of SNAP!'s production of the
show. We know he is deeply missed. In addition, the SNAP! Board of Directors presented Awards of Appreciation to Rhonda Hall, Ernie Gubbels, Tom Reardon, Dave Podendorf and our wonderful youth volunteers, Cassie Reardon, Tom Bertino, Jr., and Matt Fowler. Those SNAP! nominees winning TAG Awards tonight were: Outstanding One Act Play, SNAP!fest 1999 Walter's Big Adventure Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role, Musical Stacie Lamb, Rebecca, Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role, Musical Tom Neumann, Jim, The Last Session Outstanding Youth Technical Achievement Matt Fowler, Lighting Technician, The Last Session Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design -Jeff Lively, The Last Session Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Musical Kathy Tyree-Lovelace, Tryshia, The Last Session Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Musical Ryan McGuigan, Buddy, The Last Session Outstanding Achievement in Musical Direction Rod Carlson, The Last Session Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble "The Preacher and the Nurse," The Last Session Outstanding Acheivement in Direction Musical Randy Stevens, The Last Session Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, Musical Cory Sanchez, Gideon, The Last Session Outstanding Production, Musical The Last Session |
